Eyob art Inner Voice Las Vegas
The art of Ethiopian-born, current Las Vegas resident, Eyob Mergia had a successful debut at the January exhibition “Inner Voice” at Theatre7 in the downtown arts district and created quite a stir.  Now it’s roaring down the Strip for a rendezvous with the city’s international arts scene! Rhythm and Color: Art by Eyob Mergia will be showcased at Oh My Godard gallery at the Miracles Miles Shops at Planet Hollywood.
The Strip is home to some of the largest and most exciting hotel, casino and resort properties in the world. The tourists who flock here year-round obviously agree!  Now the twenty-first-century allure of our glittering metropolis has begun to attract artists as well. Like many other creative types, Eyob Mergia was inspired to come and be part of this dynamic and vital community. Ever since then Eyob has dreamed of exhibiting in one of these post-modern palaces, to be part of – and contribute to – the excitement that is the Las Vegas Strip. His talent, focus and persistence has now made this dream a reality: Eyob Mergia’s art will be on display on March 24th from 2pm to 5pm exclusively at the Oh My Godard Gallery.

This exhibition will feature the explosive duo of a live drum performance by Jeff Tortora from the famed Blueman Group and Eyob Mergia at his easel painting to the rhythm of Jeff’s drums throughout this event. Here rhythm and color will partner in ecstatic union of new artistic possibilities. When words and music were joined it was called “song”. What will rhythm and painting bring forth? Come and be present at the creation
For those who are already familiar with Eyob’s art this exhibit will be a great opportunity to see not only his latest completed works but also to witness this amazing artist painting live! Eyob has created five new pieces exclusively for this exhibition, “ Serenity,” “Night Dream,” “Day Dream”, “Burst into Flames”, and  “Self Awareness.” These pieces are inspired by the rhythm perceived in colors and the resulting interaction with human emotions. For those who have not yet experienced Eyob Mergia’s art – and for those who already have: You cannot miss this amazing show!
