This painting is inspired by Miles Davis’s music. I created it while listening to his trumpet, letting the rhythm, energy, and improvisation of his work guide the piece. Over the years, I have been experimenting with paint in a unique way, treating it like paper. I manipulate each layer by cutting, assembling, and layering directly on the canvas.

Each painted piece becomes part of a larger collage, giving the work texture, depth, and a sense of rhythm, much like the music that inspired it. The pieces come together almost like a mosaic, thick and tactile, creating a dense, layered composition. This time-consuming process has allowed me to develop a very original style, one that captures both the physicality of paint and the dynamic energy of Miles Davis’s music.
