Mergia’s Seven Days of Creation presents an impressive interpretation inspired by the initial verses of Genesis, the Old Testament narrative detailing the structured creation of our world. As part of the architectural commission submission, Mergia provided a series of seven paintings, which the church chose to transform into exterior glass mosaic murals. While the first six days of the Old Testament offer rich visual inspiration for Mergia's work, his interpretation of the seventh day of rest developed more organically, informed by extensive prayer and meditation.
